The COVID-19 pandemic rattled the economies, lifestyles, consumptions, and general behaviors worldwide, including Indonesia. Therefore, AcuityHub aims to capture that through our online surveys, which results are provided in a series of 4 topics.

In this series, we will share our insights on School and Work Activities in 2021. Starting from things about students at school, universities, online learning, and working from home. We discuss this topic a lot because we are sure that the pandemic has changed or reshaped the pattern of school and work activities all over the world, including in Indonesia.

Having been hit by unprecedented times, schools and colleges were unsure about opening their premises which caused a disruption to the academic schedule and hindered the students’ learning graph. The lockdown forced the education institution to innovate in order to sustain. As a solution, the education institution was suddenly made to shift to the online mode of education without proper infrastructure is in place. But that is what learning and adaptation are about.

This also applies to everyone who has work activities in the office. COVID-19 caused a tremendous impact in the workplace, emphasizing the necessity of physical closeness at work and sparking changes in business structures and consumer behavior. The compulsory action was a success for many employees and provided organizations with a lesson in the restrictions and advantages of remote work. When the outbreak subsides and workplaces reopen, several employers allow some workers to work from home, Hybrid (part-time, WFH, and WFO).

Those uncertain things are also the reason we always talk about this topic, simply to give an update or to give insights about what happens within education institutions and also work activities.
